How to Clean Cream Leather

Clean cream-colored leather with vinegar.

Cream leather is often unforgiving when it comes to residue buildup, as the light color of the leather causes dust and film to be very noticeable. By cleaning the leather properly and regularly, you keep the dust and buildup off of the cream-colored leather while also disinfecting and moisturizing the leather. Regular maintenance will keep the leather looking its absolute best for many years, eliminating the need for replacement furniture in the near future.

Things You'll Need

• Bowl
• Vinegar
• Linseed oil
• Cleaning rags

Instructions

1. Wipe down the leather with a damp or dry cloth as needed to lift dust and sticky buildup.

2. Pour a solution of one part vinegar and two parts linseed oil into a bowl. The mix will both disinfect and moisturize your cream-colored leather.

3. Dip your cleaning rag in the cleaning mixture, and squeeze the cloth to release excess liquid.

4. Wipe the cleaner over your cream leather in large circles. Leave a thin layer of film behind.

5. Rub off the excess cleaner the next morning with a dry cloth, this time rubbing the cream leather using small circular motions.
