Arrange two dozen flowers in a clear rectangular vase. If you are bored with the traditional use of roses or carnations, try amaryllis or tulips in their place. Tie black and red ribbons around the vase.

Place a glass of water in the center of a clear round vase that stands about 1/2 inch taller than the glass. Fill the space surrounding the glass with heart-shaped mints. Place a dozen pink and white tulips in the glass of water and spread them out over the top of the vase.

Arrange a dozen 6-inch bud vases on your dining room table. Cut several different colored roses so that they extend past the vases at assorted heights. This Valentine's Day floral arrangement works well for office dinner meetings because it doesn't detract from the agenda at hand but still offers a touch of Valentine's whimsy.

Draw a heart on a plain piece of paper. Place the paper on top of a piece of floral foam and cut the pattern into the top of it using a craft knife. Remove the paper and finish cutting the heart from the foam. Soak the foam in water for no less than 30 minutes.

Cut off all but 1/4 inch of the stems of two dozen miniature roses. Push the stems through the top of the heart until the top of the foam is completely covered by the rose petals. Turn the foam heart on its side. Pin lemon leaves around the entire heart. Overlap the leaves so that the sides of the foam are hidden. Set the floral arrangement on a small white dish to display on your dinner table.
