How to Make Bunny Costumes for Little Kids

A child's bunny rabbit costume is easy to make

Animal costumes are popular with children of all ages for Halloween, school projects and other costumed events and occasions. Bunny rabbit costumes are among the most popular animal costumes. Because of this, it is easy to find a bunny costume to buy at the store. However, it can be hard to find the right size costume. Thankfully, it is easy to make a children's bunny rabbit costume from home. Anybody can put together a bunny costume in practically no time at all.

Things You'll Need

• White felt
• Fabric scissors
• Pink felt
• Hot glue gun
• White long sleeve shirt
• White sweat pants
• Cotton balls

Instructions

1. Cut out two triangles of white felt that are each 2 inches wide at the base and 6 inches tall in the middle.

2. Cut out two triangular pieces of pink felt that are each 1 inch wide at the base and 4 inches tall in the middle.

3. Hot glue the pink felt pieces to the middle of the white felt pieces. These will form the ears. Glue the ears to the top of a white headband.

4. Cut out an oval shaped piece of pink felt that is 12 inches long and 6 inches wide. Hot glue this pink felt oval to the front of a white long sleeved t-shirt.

5. Glue a handful of white cotton balls to the seat of a pair of white sweatpants.

6. Draw a small circle on the tip of the nose using eyeliner. Draw three whiskers on each cheek.

Tips & Warnings

• Other natural colors (such as brown, beige or black) may be used instead of white.
