How to Fix Windows XP Continuous Reboot
Having an Windows XP computer go into a continuous reboot cycle is frustrating. When your computer gets caught in such a loop, you need to take immediate steps to resolve the situation and get your computer working again. Fortunately, there are some steps you can take to take back control of your PC and stop the constant rebooting.

Press the "F8" key repeatedly while the computer is rebooting. Choose "Safe Mode" when the Windows XP startup screen appears.

Log on to your computer in safe mode and run your anti-spyware and antivirus programs. A virus or spyware infection is one of the most common causes of a continuous reboot cycle.

Click on the "Start" button and choose "Control Panel" from the menu. Double-click on the "Add or Remove Programs" icon and remove any recently installed software. A malfunctioning software program will often cause an XP computer to reboot.

Click on the "Start" button and choose "Accessories" from the menu. Choose "System Tools" and point to "System Restore."

Choose a restore point before the spontaneous reboot cycle began. The System Restore process will not destroy any of your data, but it will take the computer back in time, to before the current problems began.
