How to Install a Power Supply in an HP D530
If your HP D530 desktop is freezing, refusing to boot or randomly shutting down, your power supply may be to blame. A failing power supply can cause a computer to lose the necessary power feed to run the motherboard, hard drives and other internal components. Do not be intimidated by the thought of replacing a power supply yourself. You can buy a power supply from a computer parts retailer and change it at home to save the cost of an expensive technician.
