1
Make sure your Beanie Baby is clean. If it has any blemishes, spots, stains or bad odors try surface cleaning the Beanie Baby with gentle soap and water. If the Beanie Baby does not come clean, you should not donate it. Most organizations do not want toys in bad condition.

2
Locate a local drop of location for your charity of choice. Toys for Tots often has many dropoff locations around the holidays at local shops and department stores. If you are unable to locate a dropoff location, do a web search of your charity's telephone number and call it to ask about dropoff locations. If there is no drop site close to you, ask the organization if it has a mailing address where you can send the Beanie Baby.

Drop off your toy at the location you have found, or mail it if necessary. Keep accurate records of items you donate to charity. Even an item as small as a Beanie Baby could count as a deduction on your tax return.

Consider selling your Beanie Baby and donating the proceeds to the charity. Some special Beanies, like the Garcia the Ty-Dye Teddy Bear, carry a value of about $50.
