How to Donate Eggs in New Jersey
If you are a woman in New Jersey wanting to donate your eggs, you have the opportunity to help other women who are having trouble conceiving. With egg donation, the eggs are extracted from the ovaries and placed in a recipient through in vitro fertilization. According to Fertility Pro Registry, as of 2010, egg donors are compensated between $5,000 and $10,000 per donation, with a maximum of six donations allowed per donor. Egg donors must be between the ages of 21 and 34 and be in good health.

Select an egg donation center that is near you in New Jersey. You can look for locations by region on the Fertility Network website (see Resources).

Contact your preferred New Jersey egg donation center by the method listed on their website. Some prefer for you to fill out an online interest form while others may want you to call and book an appointment at an interest seminar.

Complete an application at the egg donation center to be an egg donor. You have to fill out information about your medical history, including possible genetic illnesses for which you could be a carrier. Once you complete your application, blood tests that test for diseases such as HIV and chlamydia are required.

Submit to a psychological clearance testing. You will be asked a variety of questions to gauge your psychological state, including why you want to be an egg donor.

Begin taking the prescribed birth control pills if you are approved by the New Jersey egg donation center as an egg donor. Once you finish your round of medication, begin your prescribed injections, which serve to increase your egg production.

Make regular visits to see the physician at the New Jersey egg donation center as scheduled. The doctor will closely monitor you until he feels your eggs are ready to be harvested.

Schedule the outpatient procedure to donate your egs. This procedure takes around 30 minutes and does involve sedation. This means that you will not be able to drive yourself home after the procedure.
