How to Play Call of Duty 4 Online on a PC

Playing Call of Duty 4 on a computer is relatively easy. There are hundreds of Call of Duty 4 servers on which to play online. In addition, playing the game online on a PC does not require a monthly fee like it would on the Xbox 360. A good computer and Internet connection are required, plus a valid CD key.

      Make sure your computer meets the requirements to play Call of Duty 4 online. Activision, the creators of Call of Duty 4, recommend a single 2.4 GHz core processor a 1.8 GHZ dual core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of free hard drive space, a NVIDIA Geforce 6600 graphics card or better or a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro or better. If your computer does not meet these minimum system requirements, consider using or purchasing a better computer. However, a system that does not meet all these requirements still may be able to run the software.

      Insert the Call of Duty 4 CD to your CD drive to begin installing Call of Duty 4. This process typically takes one to four hours to complete during download. Halfway through the installation, the second Call of Duty 4 CD is required to complete the installation. Each kill is worth so many points, and the team with the most points at the end of the time limit wins the game. "Domination" games are ones in which two teams compete for certain points on the map. A "sabotage" game is one in which two teams try to bomb the opposing team's base.
