How to Clean Grass Stains From Concrete
Grass stains turn concrete a pale shade of green. These stains, next to otherwise pristine concrete, are unattractive. Things You'll Need
- Bucket
- Push broom
- Laundry detergent
- Rubber gloves
- Scrub brush
- Water hose
- Towels

Fill a bucket with hot water. Add a capful of liquid laundry detergent--use a biodegradable one containing enzymes for removing grass stains and other organic stains. According to concretenetwork.com, these cleaners work better than other cleaners at removing these kinds of stains.

Set the bucket near the concrete. Sweep the concrete with a broom to remove extra surface debris. Wet a nylon-bristled scrub brush in the detergent solution (wire brushes may leave scrape marks on the concrete).

Scrub the solution into the grass stains. Allow this to sit on the concrete for 15 minutes.

Dip your scrub brush in the solution again and scrub the stains. Rinse off the concrete with a water hose, if outdoors. If indoors, use wet towels to wipe up the excess detergent solution.

Allow the concrete to dry. Repeat the entire process if any hint of grass stain remains on the concrete.

Tips & Warnings
For large grass-stained areas, save time and your back by using a stiff-bristled push broom instead of a scrub brush. Pour the solution over the stained area first, and then scrub it in with the push broom.
