How to Make Note Pads at Home
Making your own notepads at home is a creative, cost-effective project. You can create any type of notepad you like, from unlined white paper, to grocery lists, to a collection of scrapbook paper. You can make several notebooks at a time, in fewer than 30 minutes, as little last-minute gifts. The adhesive can be purchased at any office supply store and will last through many note pads.

Instructions

1
Cut your paper to the desired size with scissors or a paper trimmer. You can go small like sticky note size, or larger.
-
2
Cut a cover out of cute cardstock or scrapbooking paper in the same size as your other paper.
-
-
3
Cut a back for your note pad out of the thin cardboard, chip board or heavy cardstock. This should be the same size as the paper and cover.
-
4
Stack the papers, placing the cover on the front and the backing on the bottom.
-
5
Place the stack between the two rulers or pieces of wood. Make sure the edges you will join are just barely sticking out from the wood.
-
6
Clamp the wood and papers together, squeezing it as tightly as possible. Make sure the clamps are evenly placed on top of the paper pad.
-
7
Brush the adhesive onto the edge of the papers and cardboard sticking out of the wood using the foam brush. Wait a few minutes and apply another coat. You may need several coats.
-
8
Allow the adhesive to dry for at least 10 minutes and remove the wood.
