Go to WordPress.com and click “Sign Up Now.” Fill in your personal information and click “Next.” Check your e-mail to confirm your account.

Your new WordPress blog should be live. Log into your account by entering your credentials in the top left corner of WordPress.com. Click on “My Dashboard” once you are logged in.

Click on “Posts” and “Add New.” You can go back and edit or delete a post at anytime.

Enter a title for your first post. Your first post could be called “New Photos.” Directly beneath the title box there is a line of graphics beside “Upload/Insert.” Click on the first graphic on the left, which will allow you to insert an image.

A new box will appear. Click the “Select Files” button to add an image from your computer. Browse to the photo you wish to upload and click “Open.” Your photo will upload immediately and will also be added to the gallery for future use. Within the pop-up box, you can edit the photo, add a description, set the dimensions, and set numerous other options.

Click the “Insert Into Post” button located at the bottom of the pop-up box. Your image will automatically insert into the body of your post.

If desired, add a description or blog post above or below your image. When you are finished, click “Publish” on the right-hand side.

Repeat this process to add additional photos. You can either create a new post for each photo or add multiple photos in one post.

Once you are familiar with WordPress, consider purchasing your own hosting account and installing WordPress. You can expand your photo gallery options using plug-ins.
