How to Create Self-Extracting Zip Files in Windows
A self-extracting zip file, commonly referred to as self-extracting archive, is a compressed archive that can be opened without the need for a file extraction utility such as WinZip or WinRAR. Compressing files can be useful when emailing a large number of files to a party, or if you are just trying to save space on your computer. Windows has built-in software that allows you to create a self-extracting zip file without having to download any other program.
