How to Use a Nintendo DS Lite Wi-Fi Adaptor

The Nintendo DS Lite is a more compact version of the popular Nintendo DS. It has all the same features in a smaller, more lightweight package. Included in the DS Lite is a built in WiFi adapter that allows you to connect online. You can play multiplayer games with friends, download DS game demos, and browse the Internet with the Nintendo Internet Browser.

Instructions

1. Go to the “Setup” on your DS and select “Wi-Fi Connection Settings.”

2. Select an open connection slot to enter a new connection. Connection settings for three different connections can be saved so you don’t repeatedly set up your most commonly used connections.

3. Tap the “Search for an Access Point” button to scan for wireless access points that are available within your range.

4. Select the network that you want to connect to. If the network is password protected, you will need to enter the security key in order to connect to it.

Tips & Warnings

• The DS cannot connect to networks protected by a WPA pass key. You will need to change the pass key to the WEP protocol in order to get connected.
