How to Clean an Eye Glass Cloth

Eyeglass cleaning cloths containing microfiber fabric to effectively attract dirt and dust away from your eyeglass lenses. Many eyeglass wearers opt for microfiber eyeglass cleaning cloths because they enable the cleaning of eyeglasses without additional sprays or chemicals. Keep your eyeglass cloths clean by washing them each week. Improperly maintained eyeglass cleaning cloths may not clean your eyeglasses effectively, often leaving them still soiled and smudged. Cleaning the cloths regularly will keep them keeping your glasses clean.

Things You'll Need

• Gentle laundry detergent
• Washer and dryer

Instructions

1. Place eyeglass cleaning cloths in the washing machine along with other items of similar weight and color. Set the water temperature to warm and add the appropriate amount of gentle laundry detergent to the washing machine. Start the wash cycle and allow it to progress through the entire cycle.

2. Remove the cleaning cloths from the washing machine and place them in the dryer. Set the dryer temperature to medium and start the dryer.

3. Remove the eyeglass cleaning cloths from the dryer after they dry completely. The drying time for these cloths should be no longer than 15 to 20 minutes.

4. Fold the cleaning cloths and put them away.

Tips & Warnings

• Never use fabric softener on eyeglass cleaning cloths, because this can introduce a film over the microfiber fabric. This film may transfer to your eyeglass lenses and make them foggy.
