Instructions

  1. Puzzle Piece Necklace

    • 1

Paint the two puzzle pieces a solid color using craft paint and a paint brush. Allow the paint to dry before proceeding.

    • 2

Write words on the puzzle pieces with letter stickers or glitter glue. You can write Best on one and Friends on the other, or put each child's name on their necklace. Or, you can simply decorate the pieces and forego writing anything on them.

    • 3

Decorate the puzzle pieces with small stickers, or use a hot glue gun to glue rhinestones or embellishments on the pieces.

    • 4

Cut two satin cords long enough to slip over the child's head comfortably.

    • 5

Glue one end of the cord to the top edge of the puzzle piece, and glue the other end of the cord to the other side of the puzzle piece. Repeat this for the second necklace. Allow glue to dry.

    Broken Heart Necklace

    • 6

Roll your clay out flat to the thickness that you want it to be using either a small rolling pin or a drinking glass.

    • 7

Cut out a heart shape using a craft knife. You can use a small cookie cutter or just do it freehand.

    • 8

Cut a jagged line down the center of the heart to make it look "broken."

    • 9

Poke a hole in each heart at the top using a toothpick. Make sure the hole is big enough for your necklace chain to fit through.

    • 10

Bake the clay as directed in the oven. Allow it to cool, and thread a necklace chain through each piece of the heart.

Tips & Warnings

  • Supervise small children if using a hot glue gun.
