How to Refill Ronson Lighters
Several hundred years ago, modern-day lighters would appear to be magical devices capable of summoning fire with the flick of a thumb. Fortunately for us, we don't need to rub two sticks together anymore. Even so, our convenient lighters will run out of fuel after extended use, and Ronson lighters are no different. While Ronson recommends using their proprietary fuel, you can use any pressurized butane canister to refill your lighter.
Instructions
-
-
1
Lay a paper towel on a flat working surface.
-
2
Remove the cap from your pressurized butane canister.
-
-
3
Turn your Ronson lighter upside down and hold it steady with your non-dominant hand.
-
4
Grab butane canister with the other hand, turn it upside down and place the canister nozzle over the round inlet valve on the bottom of your Ronson lighter.
-
5
Push the canister downward while pushing the lighter upward, thereby injected pressurized butane into the lighter. Do this four times in short bursts.
-
6
Replace the cap on the pressurized butane canister and wipe away any butane residue from the lighter using the paper towel.

Tips & Warnings
Allow the fresh butane to settle within the lighter for five minutes before use.
Avoid getting butane fuel in your eyes or mouth. If you spill any butane on your hands, immediately wash them with warm, soapy water.
