  • Paper towels
  • 1 cup water
  • Baking soda
  • Vacuum
  • Vinegar
  • Spray bottle
  • Carpet shampoo machine or wet-dry vacuum

      Blot the urine stain with paper towels. Avoid rubbing the area because it will cause the urine to soak deeper into the carpet.

      Dilute the urine in the carpet with water. Pour 1 cup of water over the urine spot, and then blot it with paper towels to remove the yellow steam.

      Sprinkle baking soda over the area to cover it completely. Allow the baking soda to set for 2 to 3 hours.
