How to Assemble a Queen-Size Water Bed
Water beds are housed in a frame that you will need to assemble from wood. They come in all sizes, including queen-size and king-size. If your bedroom is too small for a king-size, you can easily build a queen water bed. First, you will need to obtain the wood frame for the queen-size water bed, before you can put it together. Things You'll Need
- Water bed frame
- Pedestal pieces
- 2 24-inch deck boards
- 12-inch deck board
- Corner brackets
- Screws
- Power drill
- L-brackets
- Masking tape

Place the wood pieces and hardware for the bed frame on the floor with the finished side down.

Lift two pieces of the frame that are perpendicular to each other and secure them together with one of the corner brackets. Attach the corner bracket to the wood framing with screws.

Repeat step two on the remaining three corners to create a square or box frame. Place the frame where the water bed will be located in the room.

Lay out the pieces that will be used to construct the pedestal inside the wood frame. Attach each end of the exterior pedestal boards to the corner brackets by sliding them into place.

Connect two of the center support boards together. Align the slots of the two boards and then slide them together. Repeat this step for a second center support.

Center the completed pedestal and center supports within the wooden frame. Lift the wooden frame up from one side and set it out of the way.

Set one of the 24-inch deck boards on one end of the wood frame. Set the 12-inch piece of deck board in the middle and then set the second 24-inch deck board at the other end of the frame.

Lift up the wooden frame and then set it down on the deck boards. Secure the wood frame to the deck boards with L-brackets and then cover them with masking tape.

Install the heater unit and the safety liner before laying out the mattress liner to compete the project.

Tips & Warnings
Covering the metal L-brackets with masking tape will prevent the liner from being punctured.
