How to Troubleshoot Toshiba SD Memory
Toshiba is a large electronics company that produces a wide range of computer hardware and digital equipment. This includes Toshiba SD memory cards. These cards are just like other standard SD cards and are used in digital cameras and some wireless phones. If your SD card is not saving data properly, you need to troubleshoot the card to correct the problem.

1
Connect the SD card to an SD card reader and access the information in the (My) “Computer” window. Right-click the removable device icon and choose “Properties.” If the device says it is full, or nearly full, you need to remove files from the card (click a file and press “Delete”) before any new files may be added.

2
Check to make sure the SD write protection slot is not enabled. This is a small button on the backside of the SD card. If the button is pressed down, no information is capable of writing to the card.

Format the card if you continually receive an error message every time you attempt to access data on the Toshiba SD card (or write information on the card). This is because the card is corrupt. To format the card, right-click the removable device icon and select “Format” from the pull-down menu. Momentarily a format window appears on-screen. Select “OK” and the computer formats the Toshiba SD card, removing any corrupt data files from the card that is preventing the device from functioning properly.
