Crystal Weave Bracelet Instructions
One technique you can use to make a crystal bracelet is a right angle weave. The right angle weave (RAW) is a repetitive design that you can alter using different colors and styles of crystal beads. Weaving a bracelet using right angle weave is a good choice for beginning beaders. Once you master the basic technique, you can adapt the pattern to a variety of other jewelry designs such as wide cuff bracelets, rings and chokers.
Things You'll Need

- Scissors
- Clasp
- 4mm crystal round beads
- 4mm crystal bicone beads
- Jeweler’s glue

1
Cut a 5-foot long strand of soft monofilament line. Your bracelet begins in the center of the strand; both ends of the line are used to make the weave. You will have excess line at the end of the bracelet design; it’s best to start with more than you need to make the bracelet.
-
2
Thread one section of the bracelet clasp, one 4mm bicone crystal bead, one 4mm round crystal bead, one 4mm bicone and one 4mm round to the middle of the monofilament line. Hold the ends of the line even.

3
Hold the beads on the line with your left hand so that the two bicones are on each side of the first round crystal bead. The clasp section should fall beneath the first round crystal bead. The second round crystal bead should be on top of the second bicone crystal bead. Hold the end of the line on the right side with your right hand.
-
4
Insert the end of the right line through the same hole in the second crystal round bead that the first line exits. The lines will cross inside the bead. Hold the beads steady with your right hand and pull the line completely through the bead with your left hand. The second round crystal bead is now on top of the first round crystal bead; the bicones are still on the side. The ends of the line should still be even.
-
5
Thread one 4mm crystal bicone bead to the left and right side lines. Slide the beads down the lines until they stop at the top round crystal bead. Thread one round crystal bead over the left line to the last bicone bead added to that side.
-
6
Cross the right line through the last crystal bead added as you did in Step 4. Pull the line all the way through the round crystal bead to form the second segment of your bracelet.
-
7
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 to make a right angle weave bracelet as long as you like.
-
8
Tie the two lines exiting the last crystal bead added to the bracelet strand to the remaining section of clasp using a square knot. Feed the excess lines back through the last round crystal bead in the segment. Continue to feed the lines through each bead in at least two segments on the bracelet. Feed the lines as you made the bracelet, one to the right, one to the left and cross in the center. Cut the excess lines.
-
9
Cover the square knot with jeweler’s glue. Let dry overnight.
