It's easy to peel labels from containers.

We've all had to remove a sticky label from something at one time or another. The good news is that it's easy to remove labels and their residue from any surface with something you probably already have on hand. By first treating a label with vinegar and then carefully peeling it away, you'll be label-free in no time. Does this Spark an idea?

  • Paper towels
  • White vinegar
  • Dull knife (optional)

Instructions

    • 1

      Place a paper towel over the label, and drizzle white vinegar onto the paper towel until the area covering the label is saturated.

      Let the paper towel sit on the surface for 10 minutes, and then remove it.

      With your fingernail or a dull knife, start peeling the label at one corner, slowly pulling it up and diagonally toward the opposite corner.

      If all of the adhesive doesn't come off with the label, rub the surface with the paper towel and vinegar.

    • 5

      Wipe the surface with a dry paper towel after removing all traces of the label and adhesive.
