Design a Wedding Web Page for Free
Planning a wedding can be stressful and expensive. Designing and distributing a wedding website to your guests can make everything simpler. Create one yourself or ask a member of the wedding party to manage it for you. Whether you use it to communicate with your bridesmaids or to ensure that your out-of-state relatives are in the know, building a free website will give you an advantage.
Instructions

1
Pick a free wedding website (see References). Decide on a preset background and layout or make one of your own.
-
2
List important dates. The location and time of the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception are the most vital pieces of information. If you have other events planned for your guests, list them in chronological order along with the other major occasions.
-
-
3
Show your guests how to RSVP. Even if you sent out beautiful wedding invitations by mail, you will save time and money by allowing people to RSVP via your wedding website. By creating an email address specifically for this purpose, your guests can sign into your website and email you; you will have all the replies in one place.
-
4
Tell the story of the two of you. Tell a brief story about how you met, or go into details about all your wonderful years together prior to getting engaged. This gives distant family and friends the chance to get to know you and your fiancé(e).
-
5
Offer a variety of lodging options on your wedding website. If you’ve chosen a specific hotel location and have reserved a block of rooms for your guests, mention this place and the rate that you’ve secured for them. Suggest other hotels and inns in the area of your venue that will be convenient for your guests to stay in.
-
6
Mention your online gift registry, if you have one. Linking your website to your registry will make it very convenient for your guests, and the invitees who can’t make it, to fulfill your gift wishes. If you’ve chosen not to have a registry, your website is also a good place to mention any addresses where guests may send money or other presents.
-
7
Upload pictures of you and your fiancé(e) to the website. You can also show off pictures of your bridesmaids, groomsmen and family members.
-
8
Add videos, directions or a guestbook. You can even start a wedding blog and update it via your website. Your guests will feel informed and welcome.

Tips & Warnings
You may want to protect your wedding website with a password. This will keep unwanted viewers from being privy to your wedding details. When you distribute your website address to your guests, make sure you include the password.
