How Do You Set Up a Featherbed?
Feather beds add a luxuriousness to sleeping. They are like big pillows laid out over the bed, and are frequently filled with down or goose feathers. Figure out how to use yours correctly, and you will be sleeping easier in no time. Does this Spark an idea?

Air out your feather bed. Take it out of the bag and hang it out somewhere that it can air out and the down can expand.

Fluff the feather bed and make sure the down is evenly distributed. Sometimes squares or rows are sown into the feather bed so that the down will not all go to one area. You can also manually distribute it.

Put a fitted sheet over your mattress. This is the standard sheet you would normally use.

Place the feather bed on top of the fitted sheet. If you want to make sure it stays nice, find a cover for it. Covers button or zip over the feather bed.

Put your top sheet over the feather bed. Depending on how thick it is, you may need a larger sheet. If you have a queen bed but a thick feather bed, you may need to put a king sheet over it.
