The Arizona Corporation Commission incorporates businesses in accordance with Title 10 of the Arizona Revised Statutes. You must complete the articles of incorporation and certificate of disclosure. These documents are submitted along with the coversheet and the fee. As of 2010, the fee to incorporate a business in Arizona was $60. You can pay by cash, check or money order. Companies that file their articles of incorporation in person can pay by Visa, MasterCard or American Express.

        Conduct a name search for your corporation name using the Arizona Corporation Commission's online database (see Resources). Your corporation name must be different from all other registered corporations in Arizona. f your name is available, consider completing the name reservation form. You can complete this form via the website or fill out a paper form and mail it to the commission. Online reservations are effective immediately for a period of 120 days. The fee for online name reservation is $45. Paper applications are not effective until they have been processed. The fee for paper applications is $10.

        Complete the Corporations Division Cover Sheet. This form identifies specific information regarding your application, including the type of application being submitted: new, amended or correction. Indicate your method of payment and your preferred method of return delivery.

        Complete the Certificate of Disclosure for the incorporators and attach any supporting documentation.

        Answer all the questions included in the articles of incorporation application. Information that is requested includes the corporation name, incorporators, board of directors and share information. You must provide a statutory agent that has a physical address in the state of Arizona. This statutory agent must be able to accept legal documents regarding the corporation.

        Mail or drop off the documentation and fee to:

        Fax the application, coversheet and disclosure to 602-542-4100. You need to make alternate payment arrangements with the Commission.

        Publish a notification in the newspaper. A list of approved newspapers is sent with your approval letter. This publication must be completed within 60 days.
