Stanley's Bostich air compressors can be purchased with optional air tools. Air tools run cooler, and can provide more power for the weight, than conventional electrical tools. Basic air tools include nailers--both finish nailers and framing nailers. There are also specialist nailers, like nailers for upholstering. Instructions

  1. Bostich SB-1842BN/SB-1850BN/SB-2IN1/SB-125BN Nailer and Similar

      Hold the air tool's handle with one hand and disengage the latch on the magazine slide with your other hand. Open the magazine fully--it slides back.

      Insert the nails into the magazine. Place the points at the bottom of the magazine, facing upwards.

      Push the magazine forward using the heel of your palm until it engages with the latch.

    Bostich SB-1664FN Nailer and Similar

      Hold the air tool's handle with one hand and pull back on the follower with your other hand until it latches. The follower is right at the back of the nailer, near the channel that holds the nails.

      Insert the nails into the track of the magazine.

    • 6

      Press the pusher release to disengage the follower. The pusher release is above the follower.

Tips & Warnings

  • Always wear eye protection when loading nails.
