Instructions

    • 1

Maintain your wool cap as often as you wear it by brushing it with the hat brush. Use the brush to remove surface soiling and dust, starting on the left side of the cap and brushing around the cap in a counter-clockwise direction. Brush the crown and the brim of the cap in a counter-clockwise direction also.

    • 2

Brush the wool with the lint brush to remove lint that sticks to the wool.

    • 3

Rub the hat with the emery fingernail file to remove superficial stains and soiling. Rub very lightly over the wool fibers to remove the stain without rubbing so hard that you wear away the wool fibers.

    • 4

Mix the 1 tsp. of baby shampoo with 1 cup of warm water. Dab a corner of the clean cloth into the soapy water and rub gently over stains to remove them. Rinse out the cloth and use it to rinse away soap residues from the wool cap. Dry the area thoroughly with a towel.

Tips & Warnings

  • Consult a dry cleaning professional for more serious staining issues on your wool cap.

  • Clean a wool knit cap by hand washing it in cool water with gentle laundry detergent. Rinse the hat thoroughly in cool water and squeeze it gently to remove the excess water. Lay the hat flat to air dry.
