How to Clean a Wool Cap

- Hat brush
- Lint brush
- Emery fingernail file
- Baby shampoo
- Clean cloth
- Towel

Maintain your wool cap as often as you wear it by brushing it with the hat brush. Use the brush to remove surface soiling and dust, starting on the left side of the cap and brushing around the cap in a counter-clockwise direction. Brush the crown and the brim of the cap in a counter-clockwise direction also.

Brush the wool with the lint brush to remove lint that sticks to the wool.

Rub the hat with the emery fingernail file to remove superficial stains and soiling. Rub very lightly over the wool fibers to remove the stain without rubbing so hard that you wear away the wool fibers.

Mix the 1 tsp. of baby shampoo with 1 cup of warm water. Dab a corner of the clean cloth into the soapy water and rub gently over stains to remove them. Rinse out the cloth and use it to rinse away soap residues from the wool cap. Dry the area thoroughly with a towel.
