Blown Bubbles
-
1
Rig a clothesline low enough for any kids participating to reach.
-
2
Hang large legal size sheets of finger paint paper on the clothesline. Use one clothesline pin on each end of the paper to keep it in place.
-
-
3
Add seven or eight drops of food coloring into the bottle of bubble solution. If making your own bubble solution, mix 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup of liquid dish detergent. Alternatively, you can add tempera paint to the bubble solution instead of food coloring. Add about 1/3 cup of tempera paint to 1 cup of bubble solution.
-
4
Put the lid on the bubble solution and give it a good shake.
-
5
Put smocks on children and adults to keep the colored bubbles from damaging their clothing.
-
6
Put the bubble wand in the solution. Blow the bubbles toward the paper. As the bubbles pop, they will make bubble stains on the paper. Stand back 2 to 3 feet to get nice bubble art.
-
7
Allow the bubble art to dry completely before removing it from the clothesline.

Pour the bubble solution in a plastic bowl.
-
9
Add 1/3 cup of tempera paint to the mix, whisking it in with a small metal whisk.

Blow the bubble mix with a straw, bubbling up the mixture. When the bubbles reach the rim of the bowl, quickly place a sheet of white construction paper over the top of the bubble. The bubbles will leave images on the paper as the bubbles pop.
