How to Get SSL Working on Yahoo

Yahoo.com is just one example of the many sites on the Internet that use SSL certificates to verify authenticity. An SSL certificate is a document used by your Web browser to verify site security. If you'd like to get SSL working on the Yahoo website, you'll need to enable the functionality within your own Web browser. This involves adjusting your Web browser's settings internally.

Instructions

1. Open your Web browser.

2. Enter your Web browser's "Options" menu. Internet Explorer users can accomplish this by clicking "Tools>Internet Options." Mozilla Firefox users can accomplish this by clicking "Tools>Options." Apple Safari users can accomplish this by clicking "Settings>Preferences."

3. Click on the "Advanced" tab and then check the "Use SSL" option if you're a Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox user. Click "Apply" to accept your changes.

4. Click "Security" and then check the box next to "Fraudulent Sites" if you're an Apple Safari user. Your settings will automatically be saved and you can exit out of the box. SSL will now work when you visit Yahoo.com.
