How to Become a Theatre Nurse
A theatre nurse, also referred to as a surgical nurse, is a nurse that assists patients before and after their surgery. Theatre nurses also assist the surgeon during the operation. Theatre nurses have more education and training than a typical registered nurse (RN). To become a theatre nurse you will need to graduate from college with Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, gain work experience as a RN, and pass the Certified Nurses for the Operating Room (CNOR) exam.
