How to Make a Tied Fleece Throw thumbnail
Fleece fabric is a great material for blankets and throws.

Fleece tied blankets are a convenient way to keep warm. They make a great decoration as a throw for a sofa or chair. Fleece blankets also are a popular housewarming gift or baby shower gift. While tied fleece throws can be purchased in stores, it can be hard to find one that fits the consumer's specific needs. Fleece blankets are inexpensive and easy for anyone to make, with no sewing skills required.

Instructions

    • 1

Cut two pieces of fleece that are each 60 inches square. Lay the pieces of fleece directly on top of each other.

    • 2

Cut a 3-inch square out of each of the corners of the fabric. Cut slits all around the edges of the fabric, in between the square cutouts. Each of the slits should be 3 inches long and 1 inch wide.

    • 3

Starting at one of the corners, grasp one of the slit pieces of the bottom piece of fabric in one hand and the slit piece directly above it on the top piece of fabric in the other hand. Tie these two pieces of fabric together.

    • 4

Repeat step 3 until all of the slits are knotted together. Double knot all of the slits to make sure they stay in place.
