How to Set Up a Wireless Bluetooth Printer on Windows XP

No cables are needed to set up a Bluetooth printer.

A Bluetooth-enabled printer can help keep your workspace less cluttered and more mobile. If you're using a desktop computer, having a wireless Bluetooth printer allows you to avoid connecting yet another cord from your computer to the printer. If you're using a laptop, you can print to the printer from another room, without needing to be next to the printer.

Instructions

1. Plug your printer's power cord into the wall and push the "Bluetooth" button to make the printer discoverable by your computer.

2. Click the "Start" button on your Windows XP desktop.

3. Select "Printers and Faxes."

4. Click "Add a Printer."

5. Select "A Bluetooth Printer." Your computer will now search for any Bluetooth printers within range. A list of discovered printers will appear.

6. Click the icon for the Bluetooth printer you want to install. Select "Install." You now have set up a wireless Bluetooth printer on Windows XP.
