How to Set Up a Wireless Bluetooth Printer on Windows XP thumbnail
No cables are needed to set up a Bluetooth printer.

A Bluetooth-enabled printer can help keep your workspace less cluttered and more mobile. If you're using a desktop computer, having a wireless Bluetooth printer allows you to avoid connecting yet another cord from your computer to the printer. If you're using a laptop, you can print to the printer from another room, without needing to be next to the printer.

Instructions

    • 1

Plug your printer's power cord into the wall and push the "Bluetooth" button to make the printer discoverable by your computer.

    • 2

Click the "Start" button on your Windows XP desktop.

    • 3

      Select "Printers and Faxes."

    • 4

      Click "Add a Printer."

    • 5

Select "A Bluetooth Printer." Your computer will now search for any Bluetooth printers within range. A list of discovered printers will appear.

    • 6

Click the icon for the Bluetooth printer you want to install. Select "Install." You now have set up a wireless Bluetooth printer on Windows XP.
