There are three credit reporting agencies that assemble and maintain information listed in your credit report, also known as a credit file disclosure. You can get in touch with Experian, TransUnion and Equifax in several convenient ways. Reasons to contact the three credit bureaus include requesting a copy of your credit report, placing fraud alerts and disputing inaccurate information contained within the report. Consumers are eligible for one free credit report from each credit bureau within a 12-month period. You also may be eligible for a free credit report if you have been denied credit or insurance coverage based on information contained in your credit file disclosure.

Contact each of the three credit bureaus online by visiting their websites at Equifax.com, Transunion.com and Experian.com. All three credit bureaus allow you to order your credit reports and file disputes online regarding inaccuracies using forms on their websites.
