Uninstalling an Adobe Reader Plugin

When an Internet user browses to certain sites, browser plugins may download and install to the browser. The Adobe Reader plugin may slow the browser speed and/or interfere with other installed applications. As a general rule, uninstalling browser plugins, including the Adobe Reader plugin, involves deleting the plugin file from the “Plugins” directory serving the browser. Because many plugin files have cryptic names, knowing the file name and the location of the plugin within the file system is essential to the removal process of the program. First, configure Windows Explorer to show all hidden and system files; then the plugin files will be visible for deletion.
