1
Pull your sock inside out. Lay it flat on your worktable with the heel facing you.
-
2
Mark a dot with a pencil 1/2 inch below the heel. This will be the center of a "W" you will sew into the sock.
-
-
3
Thread a needle and thread. Knot the ends of the thread together. Sew the "W" below the heel. This will be the legs of the sock friend.
-
4
Cut the elastic band from the top of the sock. Save the band. Cut away the toes of the sock cutting below the stitching. Save the toe piece.
-
5
Sew two ear shapes into the toe piece. Do this by sewing two large "U's" in the fabric. Use your needle and thread to do this. Cut the ears from the toe piece. Do not cut the stitching.
-
6
Turn the sock right side out. Stuff it with the filling. Sew the sock up at the top using your needle and thread.
-
7
Stuff the ears with the filling. Attach them to the top of the sock friend with pins. Then sew them into place.
-
8
Sew eyes and other facial features onto your sock buddy.
