How to Repair XBox 360 From ROD

An Xbox 360 that is overheating will shut down while a front LED lights up. The LED is called the "Ring of Death" or "ROD" and remains lit even as the game console refuses to function. You can repair the Xbox 360 so that the ROD no longer illuminates and the game console returns to normal. The Xbox 360 does not need to be opened and the warranty is not violated, although the repair cannot be guaranteed to totally eliminate the return of the ROD.
