Instructions

    • 1

Select the type of cufflink backings you would like to use. For a more casual look, standard metal backings are sufficient. If you are making them for a formal occasion, choose sterling silver or gold backings.

    • 2

Select the type of decorative piece you want for your cufflinks. These decorations can be flamboyant, conservative or nostalgic. Work with old coins, rhinestones, Scrabble tiles, beads, buttons or almost anything you can think of as long as the back is flat or can flattened. Keep the decorative piece to under 1/2 inch across.

    • 3

Glue your decorative piece to the flat side of the cufflink backing with Super Glue.

    • 4

Wait at least 24 hours for the glue to dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are making the cufflinks as a gift, you can sew buttonholes into fabric or felt and link them through for a nice presentation.
