Look at the base of the faucet, where the faucet stem fits into the sink. Often, the name of the faucet manufacturer will be etched into the base. Peer onto both the front and back of the base, looking for identifying logos. Use a magnifying glass, if necessary, to closely view any possible markings.

2
Investigate the handle of the faucet for identifying marks. Sketch or write down the appearance of the markings you find, and save them for research purposes later.

Look at other faucets in the home. Walk through the residence and look at other faucets in the home for identifying marks. Most home builders use the same manufacturer for all plumbing fixtures, and this can make it easier to find the maker. Locate paperwork that refers to when the home was built, because the faucet and plumbing fixtures may be listed on a check sheet that the buyer had to approve. Ask neighbors who had the same home builder who made their kitchen faucets.

4
Search online to determine what manufacturer made your kitchen faucet. Start with the big name manufacturers to increase your chances of finding a match. Visit manufacturer websites and look for products that are similar to your current kitchen faucet. Many plumbing fixture manufacturers have a "Faucet Identification" application on their websites.

5
Take a photograph of your kitchen faucet and email it to customer service departments of various faucet manufacturers. Customer service may be able to help with faucet identification.
