How to Check the Internet History With a Command Prompt

You can easily check the browsing history on your computer by utilizing a command prompt.

Internet history is a list of the pages you've visited recently in your web browser. Depending on how your options and preferences are set, Internet history can be stored for months at a time or just a few hours. You can check the Internet history on your computer by using a simple command prompt.

Instructions

1. Open a web browser. Keep in mind that when you check history, you are checking history within that particular browser only. Therefore, you may need to check more than one if you use multiple browsers on a regular basis.

2. Hold down the "Ctrl" button on your computer.

3. Tap "H" while still holding down the "Ctrl" button. The Internet history should appear. It will either open a different tab or a different browser window, depending on how your preferences are set.
