How to Buy a Gateway P-7811FX Laptop
Gateway's P-7811FX gaming laptop is no longer available for purchase, as it is out of production. This doesn't mean that it's unobtainable, but it does limit your options. The chances of finding a new, unused model are slim; you'll most likely need to obtain it second-hand. There are a number of online tools that can aid you in your goal, as well as a few more traditional methods.
Instructions

1
Type "P-7811FX" or "P-7811 FX" (note the space and quotes) when searching for the laptop online. Each may yield different results, hopefully giving you more buying options.
-
2
Use "Google Checkout" (see Resources) to find an online store selling a new or used model. It scans various online stores for the products you want and displays the results.
-
-
3
Use eBay to find auctions of the laptop (see Resources). It may be difficult to find a new model, but people are constantly selling possessions they no longer have a need for, so you may be able to walk away with a deal. Be sure to check periodically to see if new auctions have been posted.
-
4
Use Craigslist (see Resources) to find postings of people wanting to sell their P-7811FX in your area. Oftentimes, you'll be able to haggle and pay less than the asking price. Just make sure the laptop is being given to you exactly as advertised; have the seller show you that it works and then take the time to experiment yourself. If the seller gets defensive about it, be wary; chances are you haven't been told the entire truth.
-
5
Check your local newspaper's "Classifieds" similarly to the way you'd use Craigslist in the previous step. Be wary of deals that sound too good to be true.
-
6
Use the "Marketplace" Facebook application (see Resources) to peruse through the listings of your friends, friends of friends or just people in your general area.

Tips & Warnings
Meeting sellers in person can sometimes be a risky endeavor; you never know who you're going to encounter or where. Grab a friend if you've arranged to meet a seller, especially if you're not that technically inclined. A friend who is well versed in the subject of computers can potentially save you from wasting your money.
