Decorating for a Religious Banquet
Church banquets should be beautiful, memorable events and church members can divide responsibilities so no one person has too much to do. Those decorating the event might use deep purple representing the deity of religions, and white to represent the purity. Also combine the purple with candle light which represents the light of the world. These colors can be used for weddings and other religious banquets. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- White plastic or paper tablecloths
- 3-inch deep purple ribbon
- White paper napkins
- 1/2-inch deep purple ribbon
- White plastic vases of purple and white silk flowers
- Clear plastic plates
- Heavy plastic silverware
- Clear plastic cups
- White 3-inch diameter candles 7 inches tall (2 per table)
- White craft glue
- Purple glitter
- White plastic doilies

Place white plastic or paper tablecloths on all tables.

Put a 3-inch deep purple ribbon down the length of the center of each table. Tie a bow with a 1-foot length, 1/2-inch wide piece of deep purple ribbon around all of the napkins, cinching them in the center. Place the napkins with bows at each seat.

Get white plastic flower vases and insert purple and white silk flowers. Place one vase with flowers in the center of each table on the purple ribbon.

Set the tables with clear plastic plates, cups and heavy clear plastic silverware.

Use two 3-inch diameter white candles that are 7 inches tall for each table. Put down newspaper on a table to work on. Apply white craft glue on the bottom half of the candles randomly and sprinkle with purple glitter. Let them dry. Place one white plastic doily on either side of the table vases. Place candles on the doilies.

Tips & Warnings
Use more purple as you wish in the room.
Add gold with purple if you want another color.
If the guests are to be served, leave the plates with the servers. Just place the cup and silverware with the napkin.
