How to Make Hair Bow Display Cards
Make hair bow display cards as a creative method to promote and market a craft business or a seller of handmade hair clips or hair accessories. The cards attract more attention than regular business cards because of the hair bows. It also shows creativity, professionalism, dedication to the product, and is an indirect method of marketing the product itself.

- Construction paper for display cards
- Hair clips of choice
- Printer
- Sticky labels
- Pencil

Decide the size of the display cards. If the display card is 8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches, there may be more than one hair clip required. If the display card is also a business card, one hair clip may be sufficient.

Create a design that incorporates the logo of the craft business, if applicable. If the cards are for invitations or the like, design an invitation with the text. Do this on the computer in Paint, PowerPoint or Photoshop. If this is not an option, the design can also be drawn directly on the display cards.

Adjust the designs created so they print in the appropriate size for the display cards created. Print the display designs on sticky labels. Place the sticky labels on to the display cards. Cut the edges, if needed.

Measure the bottom of the hair clip, more specifically the metal attachment that clips on to the hair when used in hair. Write this measurement down. Do the same for hair clips that are different in sizes.

Draw two equal length lines on the display card, making sure the length does not surpass the length of the hair bow clip. They should be parallel to one another and be located where the clip will be displayed. The distance between those two lines should not be as wide as the metal clip just measured in the previous step.

Cut the lines using a craft knife. Clip the hair bow clips on to the display card by sliding the metal barrette through the slits.

Apply the contact information on the back of the cards, so it does not ruin the display created on the front. Remember to put the logo near the contact information, if applicable.
