How to Make Your Own Car Accessories
Many people enjoy personalizing their cars by hanging accessories from the rearview mirror. As long as these items are small enough to hang from the mirror without blocking the driver's view, they can provide a nice personal touch to your car. Instead of buying generic fuzzy dice or other car accessories, you can select favorite ornaments that otherwise you would only see during the holidays. Look for small, figurine-type ornaments, and attach them with strong, clear fishing wire.
Instructions

1
Look for a small favorite holiday ornament that you can appreciate at any season, such as a small figurine, or object.
-
2
Discard any removable hooks attached to the ornament, as you will create your own hanging system.
-
-
3
Cut a length of fishing wire twice as long as you want the accessory to be. Don't let it hang more than a few inches, or the ornament will swing out of control.
-
4
Tie the fishing wire to the ornament, stringing the wire through the place where the ornament is designed to hang from, such as a hole or a loop, and tie the wire back into itself in a tight double knot. You will create a large loop of wire.
-
5
Hang the ornament by the loop onto the rearview mirror. To prevent the loop from falling off, tie a small additional piece of wire around the loop, just under the point where the loop hangs from the mirror.
