How to Design Paper Napkin Rings
Napkin rings are a useful table accessory that can tie in cutlery with the rest of the decor, including the centerpiece. Napkin rings can be purchased both expensively and inexpensively, but if you have paper and craft supplies, you can make your own for free. Make classy napkin rings that will impress your guests at the table but take little effort for you to pull together.
Things You'll Need

Instructions

1
Draw a line down the center of a sheet of copy paper with a pencil and a ruler to divide in half lengthwise.
-
2
Draw lines across the paper in the other direction to divide the page into 1-inch strips.
-
-
3
Cut along the first line drawn and each of the other lines to create 1-inch-wide strips. You should have several 1-inch-wide strips as long as half of the short side of the original sheet.
-
4
Bend each strip into a ring and staple the ends together to secure them in place. You should now have several paper rings.
-
5
Cut 1-inch circles from construction paper and use a glue stick to affix them over the staples on each ring.
-
6
Cut a roughly 3/4-inch circle of copy paper with pinking shears for each ring.
-
7
Stamp initials onto the 3/4-inch circles with letter stamps and ink. To do this, choose a letter stamp for each guest according to his or her first name (example "A" for Ashley) and press it into the ink pad and then onto the center of the circle. Allow the ink to dry.
-
8
Apply glue to the backs of the circles and press them in place over your construction paper circles on the napkin rings. You now have monogrammed napkin rings for each guest's place setting.
