How to Convert From a PAL to NTSC Compressor
Apple's Compressor software is a powerful tool that allows conversion between many different file formats and sizes. One of the functions of the program is to provide easy conversion between PAL and NTSC video formats, making it a simple process to ingest video filmed or processed in a PAL territory such as Europe or Australasia and output footage that can be played in NTSC zones such as the USA.

Right-click on the PAL video to be converted and click "Open With..." Choose "Compressor."

Open the Formats window of Compressor and choose the destination for your video: desktop video, DVD, web video, etc.

Click "NTSC" and choose the preset that best suits your needs. Choosing a higher-quality preset will result in a crisper image but will take longer to process.

Drag the name of the preset from the Formats window onto the Files window, and drop it onto the name of the video file to be converted.

Click "Destination" and choose the location on your computer you want your NTSC file to be delivered to, then click "Convert" to start the conversion. A progress bar will be displayed showing the time remaining until your file has been converted; this window can be minimized, allowing you to continue working while Compressor converts the file.
