How to Build a Toy Car From Scratch
Building a toy car from scratch is really very simple and can be a fun and exciting activity to do with children of any age. You don't need woodworking skills or power tools of any kind. Simple innovation combined with a few materials found around the house is all you and your child need to get started on this fun and creative craft together.
Things You'll Need
- Tissue box
- Two wooden dowels (thin and longer than the width of the tissue box)

1
Fill two of the bottle caps with hot glue and stick the ends of the two dowels in the middle of each. Allow 10 to 15 minutes to dry completely. You may use a hair dryer to help speed along the drying process.
-
2
Poke the wooden dowels through your tissue box to serve as axles. The axles should be about 1/4 inch from the bottom of the box and at each end.
