Remove the screen door by lifting it up and pulling the bottom edge out of the track. Once the bottom of the door is free, pull down and away from the top track to remove the door.

Use a screwdriver to pry off the track cap at the bottom of the fixed door. Remove the screws that connect the fixed door to the door jamb.

Pull the fixed door away from the door jamb. You may have to release the door from the jamb with a pry bar. Slide the door to the middle of the track. Ask an assistant to hold one side of the door as you hold the other. Push up on the frame of the door and tilt the bottom edge away from the track. Depending on the design of your patio slider door, you may have to adjust a screw to pull in the rollers at the bottom before the door will pull out of the track.
