How to Easily Make Vampire Fangs

How to Easily Make Vampire Fangs thumbnail
Making vampire fangs at home is simple.

The vampire fangs that you purchase from costume shops are often uncomfortable. They're bulky in the mouth and tend to cut your gums. They're cheap, and you certainly get what you pay for. Luckily, you can easily make vampire fangs from the comfort of your own home. These vampire fangs are strong enough to bite through food and are reusable. They're perfect for Halloween or even just for fun.

Instructions

    • 1

Fill your kettle with water and bring to a boil. Pour the boiling water into your coffee mug. Make sure you pour slowly so you do not spill any of the boiling water.

    • 2

Cut two 1-inch-wide squares from the craft plastic. Craft plastic is thin and flexible. It comes in a variety of colors, though you will want white for your fangs. You can purchase craft plastic at most hobby or fabric stores.

    • 3

Place one plastic square into the coffee mug. Leave for 20 seconds, then remove with a spoon.

    • 4

Wring the water from the piece of plastic and roll it into a ball. Pinch the end to shape it like a fang. Place the fang over your tooth and squeeze the plastic to the tooth. Leave the fang for two minutes. The plastic will harden and mold to your tooth.

    • 5

Repeat Steps 3 and 4 with the second square of plastic. After two minutes have passed, you can remove the fangs. Wear the fangs as often as you like. Because you molded them to your own teeth, they will easily pop off and on.

Tips & Warnings

  • Take care when working with boiling water, as spilling boiling water can lead to burns. If you burn your hands, run the burn under cold water for twenty minutes and then cover with plastic wrap. Plastic wrap will help to prevent air from getting to the burn. This in turn will help to relieve some of the pain.
