How to Retrieve Files From an HP Recovery Partition
The HP Recovery Partition is a separate section of your computer's hard drive dedicated only to storing files to be used in the event that you need to restore your computer. Though this important part of your hard drive is sectioned off from the rest, you can still access it (and by association, the files contained on it) via Windows Explorer.
