Ohio Income Tax Return Instructions
All residents of the state of Ohio must file an income tax return once a year. This income tax is based on your annual salary, and your tax percentage is based on what tax bracket you fall into. Tax brackets change every year, so to find out the exact brackets for the year you are filing you should contact the Ohio Department of Taxation. The 1040 income tax form can be filed through the mail, or by using the I-File option on the Department of Taxation home website. To set up an account to file using the I-File, you will need to register using your Social Security number and a password that you determine.
