How to Make a Paper Flower Embellishment for Scrapbooking
Paper flower embellishments are a way to add style, dimension, personality and a feminine quality to your scrapbook layouts. While scrapbook supply stores often sell pre-made paper flower embellishments, making your own ensures that the embellishments in your scrapbook are truly one of a kind. Create your own paper flowers for your scrapbook using basic craft supplies.

Draw a flower on one of the sheets of card stock approximately 3 inches in diameter. Draw any type of flower of your choice. Simple rounded petals or daisy petals are easiest, but any type of rounded flower is appropriate for this project.

Draw a flower on the second sheet of card stock paper that is approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Draw the same time of flower you drew in Step 1, or a different rounded flower.

Draw a flower on the third sheet of card stock that is approximately 1/2 inch in diameter. This flower can be the same flower you drew in Steps 1 and 2 or a different rounded flower.

Cut out all three of the flowers from the card stock.

Apply a dot of glue in the center of the largest flower. Line the medium-sized flower up over the glue and adhere it directly in the center of the larger flower.

Apply a dot of glue in the center of the medium-sized flower. Line the smallest flower up over the glue and adhere it directly in the center of the medium-sized flower.

Apply a dot of glue to the center of the smallest flower. Place a button over the glue to create the center of the flower. All three layers of color should be showing, giving the paper flower a three-dimensional look.
